Our Mission
To provide our students with high-quality, engaging instruction in a safe, nurturing environment that promotes higher-level thinking, creativity and skills to be productive citizens and to provide support for those who do not demonstrate growth in these areas.
Our Vision
All students will attain (or make adequate progress towards) state and/or system designated performance levels in reading, math and science by the end of the school year.
From the Principal:
During the week of May 14th through May 18th, Easley’s 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will take the North Carolina End of Grade Tests. Details of this testing were sent home earlier this week. The testing schedule is:
May 14th – Demographic data completion
May 15th – Reading
May 16th - Math –calculator active
May 17th – Math – calculator inactive
May 18th – Science (5th grade only).
It is important that your child gets a good night’s sleep each night and has a healthy breakfast each morning during this week. It is also very important that your child arrives at school by 9 AM each day. If your child arrives after testing begins, he or she will not be admitted to the classroom and will have to take the test the following week. Our entire building will be in testing mode during this week so that we can provide a calm and quiet atmosphere for the students.
Thank you for your support throughout the year to help the teachers and your student prepare for these tests. Your continued support and cooperation throughout this week will be greatly appreciated.
