Our Mission
To provide our students with high-quality, engaging instruction in a safe, nurturing environment that promotes higher-level thinking, creativity and skills to be productive citizens and to provide support for those who do not demonstrate growth in these areas.
Our Vision
All students will attain (or make adequate progress towards) state and/or system designated performance levels in reading, math and science by the end of the school year.
From the Principal:
1st - Easley’s Annual Silent Auction will be held at the Willowhaven Country Club on Saturday, February 25th from 7 PM to 11 PM. The evening will be filled with fun, food and fundraising for our school. You do not have to bid to attend the event. If you plan to use the PTA Babysitting services, please RSVP by February 13th.
2nd – Easley’s 2nd grade is sponsoring a clothing drive for the Durham Rescue Mission. We will collect new socks and underwear for children ages 4 to 11. The collection will last from February 13th through February 16th. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated.
3rd – If your child plans to participate in the upcoming Science Fair please remember that the forms are due back to the school by February 16th.
4th - As a reminder – Easley will be closed on Friday, February 17th and Monday, February 20th.
***- Kindergarten registration for the 2012-2013 school year begins on March 5th and goes through March 23rd. Registration requirements can be found below or by calling the school at 560-3913.
***– The NC Department of Health and Human Services has issued a notice regarding the spread of norovirus. The Department recommends thorough hand washing and staying at home if experiencing this gastrointestinal illness. More information about this advisory can be found on Easley’s website.
