Welcome to Easley Elementary School
The PTA is proud to support the faculty, staff, students, and families who make up the Easley community. We encourage you to get involved and help us make a positive impact on Easley.
Whatnots Wish List
The PTA recently created a “Whatnots” Wish List for our school community. Unlike our traditional Teacher Wish Lists for typical classroom supplies (ask your Room Parent for more information), this list is intended to solicit unusual materials that will assist teachers and volunteers in creating crafts or special projects with students. We think this is a great way to encourage Easley families to reuse and recycle common household items while supporting our students and teachers.
- Clean egg cartons (12 or 18, styrofoam) — Through December — Mrs. Moorman
- Used tennis balls — Ongoing — Mrs. Hilliard
- Yarn (leftovers!!! not new) — Ongoing — Mrs. Moorman
- Catering tray lids — Ongoing — Beautification Committee
Annual Survey
Each spring the Easley PTA distributes a survey to the school community in order to assess our performance over the past year and to establish our priorities for the future. This year we created an online survey to minimize paper waste. Thank you to everyone who completed the annual survey at www.surveymonkey.com. Your feedback is essential to the continued success of our organization, and the Executive Board has already taken steps to incorporate some of suggestions received via the survey.
Ruby Acorn Award
Congratulations to the faculty and staff of Easley Elementary School for earning the North Carolina PTA’s Ruby Acorn Award. The Easley PTA is one of 13 local units across the state to earn this award for the 2008-2009 school year. The Ruby Acorn Award is presented to local units that have all full-time teachers enrolled as members. Thank you to our faculty and staff for their support of the PTA. You truly make our organization stronger and more effective by your participation.
